Relive Met Gala 2025’s most dramatic moments… from Kim Kardashian’s tumble to Halle Berry’s nude look ..<> AIK

The 2025 Met Gala took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City this evening, and boy, was it an eventful night.

Dubbed by some as the biggest night in fashion, each year on the first Monday of May, a series of A-listers gather in their most extravagant looks for a lavish party hosted by Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

Between a shocking pregnancy reveal, a star who didn’t wear any underwear, and an awkward tumble, this year’s Met Gala was filled with dramatic moments, fashion fails, and embarrassing mishaps.

One of the most shocking incidents occurred when Kim Kardashian left her hotel to head to the event with her daughter, North West.

As the SKIMS founder walked towards her awaiting vehicle in front of a sea of fans and photographers, she had a near-fall thanks to a security guard accidentally stepping on the train of her dress.

A furious Kim scolded the man for the mishap, turning towards him with a fierce glare and holding her hand out as she angrily said something under her breath.

It was certainly a tense moment, and it wasn’t the only one of the night.

One of the other most talked about moments came when Rihanna hit the carpet and announced that she was expecting her third child with A$AP Rocky by debuting her baby bump.

The star-studded guest list certainly didn’t disappoint, with numerous A-listers attending the event.

Met Gala regulars like Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, and Hailey Bieber, were of course there – but there were also some unexpected guests like former Vice President Kamala Harris.

There were multiple awkward run-ins between exes – like Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan; in addition, former White Lotus costars Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins appeared to avoid each other amidst feud rumors.

When it came to the outfits, there was a slew of stunning gowns and ethereal outfits – however, there was also a fair share of sartorial nightmares, bizarre ensembles, and over-the-top accessories.

Most notable was Halle Berry’s look. She donned a sheer dress and had no underwear on underneath, leaving very little to imagination.

Another controversial outfit was Sydney Sweeney’s. She arrived in a simple black cut-out dress, but fans rushed to X, formerly Twitter, to slam the gown, branding it as ‘dull’ and ‘basic.’

This years theme was Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, which is based on Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.

It is meant to pay homage to black dandyism – a style with European roots which started post-Emancipation and came out in full force during the Harlem Renaissance.
