Putin ‘went to church to pray’ and commissioned special portrait of Trump after assassination attempt

Donald Trump’s chief negotiator Steve Witkoff has opened up about the US President’s ‘friendship’ with Russian President Vladimir Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly commissioned a portrait of the US President and prayed at church after an assassination attempt took place on Donald Trump’s life last year.

Back in July 2024, prior to becoming the 47th president of the US, Trump was rushed off stage mid-speech after being shot at during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

As a result of Trump ‘turning his head’, the bullet simply grazed Trump’s ear and the 20-year-old shooter was taken out by the Secret Service during the incident.

Following his near-death experience, Trump said it was God who ‘prevented the unthinkable happening’.

He continued to write on social media: “We will fear not, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness.”

And it would appear that Putin thought of God too, not only rushing to commission a portrait of Trump but also taking to church to pray – according to Trump’s chief negotiator Steve Witkoff that is.

During an interview with ex-Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson on Friday (March 21), Witkoff said shortly after the assassination attempt on Trump’s life President Putin ‘commissioned a beautiful portrait of President Trump, from the leading Russian artist’.

Witkoff said Putin ‘actually gave’ the portrait to him and ‘asked [him] to take it home to President Trump’.

“It was such a gracious moment, and [he] told me his story… about how when the president was shot, he went to his local church and met with his priest and prayed for the president,” Witkoff continued. “Not because he was the president of the United [States]… but because he had a friendship with him, and he was praying for his friend.”

Alas, the assassination attempt on Trump’s life in Pennsylvania didn’t turn out to be the only one to take place that year either.

second attempt on Trump’s life was carried out in Florida on September 15.

Trump was enjoying an afternoon at his golfing resort in West Palm Beach when shots were ‘fired in his vicinity’.

His ear got off lucky this time and a man named Ryan Routh was later charged with the attempted assassination of Trump.

Witkoff’s sharing of the story of Trump and Putin’s ‘friendship’ comes amid ongoing discussions between Putin, Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a bid to end the war in Ukraine which first began over three years ago when Russia invaded on February 24, 2022.

Trump was not shot. After two days, his ear was visible and not a mark on his ear, not even a scratch. Hit with a paint bomb.

Unless Mr. Trump underwent plastic surgery, that ear does not look like it was grazed by a bullet. A needle maybe, but a bullet ?! Lucky people who have never been in a situation where bullets are coming in your direction may believe that a bullet can touch flesh but not leave damage.  Besides that..

The US President updated his followers on talks that took place with Russia amid the ongoing war in Ukraine

US President Donald Trump has issued an update regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin after talks were held to try and end the on-going war in Ukraine.

It was only on March 11 that Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Ukraine’s allies not to let Putin ‘deceive’ them over the proposed 30-day ceasefire, and Trump subsequently threatened Putin with consequences.

The Ukrainian president announced the country is ready to ‘restore peace’ with Russia in a joint statement between the US and Ukraine three years after the country was illegally invaded.

US and Ukrainian officials spoke for eight hours in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where they agreed to an ‘immediate, interim 30-day ceasefire,’ which still required Russian approval.

Washington confirmed it would lift the pause on military aid and intelligence sharing with Kyiv and ‘will communicate to Russia that Russian reciprocity is the key to achieving peace.’

Zelenskyy added that the US needs to convince the Kremlin to agree before the ceasefire takes place.

Since then, Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov shared Russia’s thoughts on the matter.

“Nobody is talking to us,” claimed Lavrov. “They keep saying, ‘nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine,’ but they do everything about Russia without Russia.”

He also spoke about people’s ‘peacekeepers obsession’ and said they will not allow foreign troops on Ukrainian soil.

“The presence of the troops from NATO countries, under any flag, under any capacity, on Ukrainian soil is the same threat,” Lavrov said.

Confirming that Russia won’t accept such troops ‘under any conditions’, the foreign secretary went on to question: “Why should we give consent to the peacekeeping force?”

Prior to this, Trump went on to threaten Russia if they refused to work with America and Ukraine to restore peace, stating: “We could do things very bad for Russia. Would be devastating for Russia. But I don’t want to do that because I want to see peace.”

However, it appears that it’s all turning out quite positively after Trump’s envoy spoke with Putin about the proposed 30-day cease fire.

Taking to his social media platform, Truth Social, he wrote: “We had very good and productive discussions with President Vladimir Putin of Russia yesterday, and there is a very good chance that this horrible, bloody war can finally come to an end — BUT, AT THIS VERY MOMENT, THOUSANDS OF UKRAINIAN TROOPS ARE COMPLETELY SURROUNDED BY THE RUSSIAN MILITARY, AND IN A VERY BAD AND VULNERABLE POSITION.

“I have strongly requested to President Putin that their lives be spared. This would be a horrible massacre, one not seen since World War II. God bless them all!!!”

In response, many were happy with Trump’s involvement and took to the comments to praise his progress.

One person wrote: “Thank you Mr President. May God spare their lives.”

Another said: “WINNER.”

Someone else stated: “If there is anyone that can bring this bloody terrible war to an end, it is President Trump. He has one of the most skilled diplomatic teams working on this issue and if God is willing, they will find a way to stop this awful bad war.”

Donald Trump set to ban people in 43 countries from travelling to US and sends stark 60-day warning

The US President is cracking down on his immigration stance

Donald Trump is preparing to ban people from 43 countries from going to the US, with others being ‘sharply restricted’ access.

In another episode of US President Trump’s bid to crack down on immigration, he is tackling visitation to the country.

Having already deported a significant number of people already, including a 10-year-old girl who is recovering from brain cancer surgery, Trump’s next mission is to ban, restrict, and provide a 60-day threshold to address concerns to a large group of international nations.

The immigration proposals come after Trump confirmed on his social media platform, Truth Social, that he had a ‘good’ talk with Russian President, Vladimir Putin, which could see a peace deal created between the nation and Ukraine, after its three-year invasion.

This new decree sees key allies of Moscow placed under sanctions, as well as other conflict-ridden countries also placed on the list.

Along with those who have been banned or restricted, others have been told their governments have 60 days to address deficiencies or they will continue to be placed on the list.

With the countries listed in three separate groups, you can see below who is on which list.

The list of countries that could be banned in full:

All travel banned: Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen.

Visas sharply restricted: Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Turkmenistan.

Countries that have 60 days to address concerns: Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chad, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominica, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, São Tomé and Príncipe, Vanuatu, and Zimbabwe.

Many of the nations on the list are from the Middle East and Africa, and also those who are allied with Russia, such as North Korea and Belarus.

Those in the suspension group could find themselves unable to apply for tourist or student visas, as well as other visa statuses should they want to travel to the US.

Those in the partial suspension side will face similar issues should their governments ‘not make efforts to address deficiencies within 60 days’, as per the memo.

However, the list has yet to be approved by the administration, and it could change, as per the New York Times.

It was also reported that the majority of the countries are Muslim-majority, poor, and are considered corrupt.

The list is said to have been created weeks ago by the State Department and it has been reviewed by embassies and regional bureaus.

The US president went on to issue a warning last night when speaking to the Justice Department.

He said: “I think we have it, I think we have it, but this could lead to World War III, very easily, could very easily lead to World War III.

“But I think we’re in pretty good shape, a lot better than where we were before we got involved.

“That was heading into World War III territory, that would’ve been a war like no other because of nuclear weapons, and other types of weapons that you don’t even wanna know about.”

He said: “I think we’re doing well with Russia, we’re speaking with President Putin, we want to get the war over.”

    • I think he repeats everything several times because he can’t believe he said it at all.

  • The only time people were worried about it becoming WW3 was when Trump said it. Prior to that it wasn’t an option.

  • But I thought Trump made good friends with North Korea in 2019 in the demilitarized zone when he said “Stepping across that line is a great honour. Great progress has been made, great friendships have been made and this has been, in particular, a great friendship.”, and he said he has kept in conta…

  • What a train wreck. Throwing around WW3 casually like it’s a campaign slogan.

And sure, ban travel for the half of the world, the rest of us will willingly follow and skip USA.

Zelenskyy speaks out with new demands following Trump and Putin's call on ceasefire deal

Zelenskyy speaks out with new demands following Trump and Putin’s call on ceasefire deal

The Ukrainian president spoke out after Donald Trump described his call with Vladimir Putin as ‘good and productive’

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has spoken out about his demands after Vladimir Putin agreed to a pause in air strikes on energy infrastructure in Ukraine during a call with Donald Trump.

Putin agreed to the 30-day ceasefire in the call which took place on Tuesday (March 18), but just hours later, Zelenskyy shared news that Ukraine had been hit with strikes from Russia, ‘specifically on civilian infrastructure’.

The Ukrainian president alleged Russia had launched more than 40 drones towards Ukraine following Putin’s call with Trump, saying: “It is these types of night-time attacks by Russia that destroy our energy sector, our infrastructure, and the normal life of Ukrainians. Today, Putin effectively rejected the proposal for a full ceasefire.”

Meanwhile, Russia’s defence ministry claimed it had intercepted and destroyed 57 Ukrainian drones overnight.

The actions between the two countries came after Trump posted about the success of his call with Putin on Truth Social, where he described it as ‘very good and productive’.

In the wake of the call, Zelenskyy spoke out about what he expected to happen before making any agreements.

In a briefing with journalists, Zelenskyy demanded that he have a conversation with Trump to gain more details on exactly what was said in the call between himself and Putin.

He said: “I think it will be right that we will have a conversation with President Trump and we will know in detail what the Russians offered the Americans or what the Americans offered the Russians.

“After we get details from the American president, from the American side, we will give our answer, prepare it, and our team will be ready for technical discussions.”

Trump shared some details of the ceasefire agreement in his post on Truth Social, saying: “We agreed to an immediate Ceasefire on all Energy and Infrastructure, with an understanding that we will be working quickly to have a Complete Ceasefire and, ultimately, an END to this very horrible War between Russia and Ukraine.”

“This War would have never started if I were President!” Trump continued. “Many elements of a Contract for Peace were discussed, including the fact that thousands of soldiers are being killed, and both President Putin and President Zelenskyy would like to see it end. That process is now in full force and effect, and we will, hopefully, for the sake of Humanity, get the job done!”

The attacks overnight have only increased the urgent need for peace between the countries, with Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, telling Fox News that talks to finalize a deal between Ukraine and Russia would begin on March 23.

He said: “We have some details to work out of course, but that will begin on Sunday in Jeddah, and beyond that we’ll move to a full ceasefire.”

Russia sends chilling ‘WW3’ threat with NATO as Trump outlines peace talk plans

The former Russian president made a statement on Twitter

A Russian government official has labeled two world leaders ‘dumb’ and suggested that they are tinkering on the edge of World War III.

As President Donald Trump attempts to strike a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia following the former’s unjust invasion of its southeastern neighbor three years ago, the deputy chair of the security council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, has posted a fiery statement about two of the US’ allies.

Medvedev, the former president of Russia, took to Twitter to slam President of France Emmanuel Macron, as well as UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer for proposing to deploy NATO troops in Ukraine.

The pair called for a ‘coalition of the willing’, which could see 10,000 soldiers sent to the war-torn country from both EU and NATO, as well as ‘minehunters’.

‘Minehunters’ are navy vessels that seek, detect and then destroy naval mines, while patrolling coasts and safeguarding the seas.

NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, was created back in 1949 by the United StatesCanada, and several Western European nations to provide collective security against the Soviet Union.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened that, if NATO adopt Ukraine into its organization, he will draw from his nuclear arsenal, which many believe would be the beginning of World War III.

Taking to Twitter, Medvedev posted: “Macron and Starmer are playing dumb. Time and again they are told that peacekeepers must be from non-NATO states. No, we will send tens of thousands – just lay it out – you want to give military aid to the neo-Nazis in Kiev. That means war with NATO. Consult with Trump, scumbags.”

Earlier this month, US and Ukrainian officials met in Saudi Arabia to discuss organizing a ceasefire with Russia, with negotiations reportedly going on for eight hours.

The two countries released a joint statement afterwards which outlined their hopes of having Russia sign a 30-day ceasefire, with Trump recently adding that there would be ‘devastating’ consequences for Russia if they did not agree.

However, Putin is yet to agree to the ceasefire – with Starmer criticizing him for ‘dragging his feet’ over the deal.

“Sooner or later, he is going to have to come to the table and engage in serious discussions,” the prime minister told the reporters in the UK.

“So this is the moment: let the guns fall silent, let the barbaric attacks on Ukraine once and for all stop, and agree to a ceasefire now.”
