Cardi B tells story of sexual harassment
Rapper Cardi B said that when she was first starting out in her career, a photographer had a perverted act towards her.
On September 25, Cardi said on WE TV’s Untold Stories of Hip Hop: “While taking photos, the guy approached and seduced me. He pulled his ‘private part’ out of his pants and asked if I wanted to be famous. I got angry and called him a bug.” After the incident, Cardi left the studio and told the magazine editor about the incident. However, this person was indifferent to her story.
The rapper did not reveal the identity of the magazine and the photographer. “I know many girls who were just starting out in the profession were treated similarly. They think it’s normal, they have to face it by default when choosing this profession,” Cardi said. The singer affirmed that no one would dare to repeat this to her for fear of being exposed in the media.
Cardi B, 26, is currently the world’s leading hip hop artist. As a teenager, she joined a street gang and made a living as a stripper. Besides her hit music, Cardi is famous for her scandals of beating people and shocking statements in the media. In 2017, she married rapper Offset. The couple currently lives in New York with their one-year-old daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus.
