But when Minaj saw “Roc Nation” trending in that conversation, she jumped in—sparking a tense back-and-forth. Things escalated quickly:

- Bryant brought up Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender.

Bryant took to X to say:
“I really don’t like the misunderstanding we had between each other. I apologize for bringing up your husband’s past… The last thing I wanna do is argue over stupid s**t.”

She did still jokingly float the idea of a Bryant vs. Petty fight, but ended her message by wishing the former wide receiver “all the best.”
