Beyoncé had a close call on Saturday night (June 28) during her Cowboy Carter Tour stop in her hometown of Houston, Texas.
The 43-year-old global superstar was in the middle of performing her emotional ballad “16 Carriages” when a technical malfunction nearly caused a dangerous fall. While suspended over the stage in a red car prop, one side of the vehicle unexpectedly dipped, sending Beyoncé sliding down the seat as she struggled to maintain her balance.
Despite the scare, the consummate professional kept singing. However, she ultimately asked for the show to be paused so the malfunctioning car could be safely lowered to the stage. Once on the ground, Beyoncé calmly exited through a floor panel to reset.
Moments later, she re-emerged, flashing a smile and reassuring the crowd with a heartfelt quip:
“If I ever fall, I know y’all would catch me.”
The audience erupted with support, and Queen Bey delivered the rest of the song from the main stage — without missing another beat.
Fans praised Beyoncé online for her composure, professionalism, and humor in the face of a potentially dangerous situation, with many dubbing it “another reason why she’s the GOAT.”
The Cowboy Carter Tour, known for its ambitious visuals and genre-bending performances, continues to draw massive crowds — and now, another unforgettable moment has been added to the legend of Beyoncé.
