A single tweet has now changed the whole scenario. Four months after the fatal stabb!ng at a Frisco ISD track meet, people are still furious that the video of the incident has not been released publicly. And now, Elon Musk joined the growing crowd demanding answers.
Musk posted “Release the video” on X by sharing a post for the demand, and that message is now getting enough traction.
The story struck a nerve from day one. Over $500,000 poured into a GiveSendGo campaign for Anthony’s family. Metcalf’s father, Jeff, has spoken publicly, saying justice will never bring his son back but calling the indictment a necessary step.

Here’s where things get questionable. Frisco ISD allowed select reporters to view the surveillance footage in June. They didn’t release a copy of Metcalf’s 𝘮𝘶𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳, citing student privacy and school security. The video shows a distant, grainy angle of the bleachers near the 50-yard line. At 9:55 a.m., movement erupts under the Memorial High School team tent. People scatter. Emergency crews arrive minutes later.
Reporters who viewed the tape said you can’t make out faces. The stabb!ng itself is not visible. Still, critics argue that hiding the footage grows more anger and speculation. Elon Musk’s tweet only amplified the demand for transparency.
Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis requested patience. He said his office presented evidence carefully to the grand jury and stressed the need for justice in Metcalf’s case. “When something like this happens at a school event, it shakes people to the core,” Willis said. “The justice system works best when it moves with steadiness and with principle.”
Anthony’s lawyer, Mike Howard, insists the teen acted in self-defense. He released a video statement saying his client looks forward to trial because that’s where the “full story” will finally come out.
Police records show Anthony admitted to stabb!ng Metcalf but claimed the other teen put his hands on him after being told not to. He asked officers afterward if Metcalf would be okay and if it could count as self-defense.
For now, a gag order has been issues, but the noise outside the courtroom grows louder. And thanks to Musk, the fight over that video will not get some attention surely.
