Tamika Scott of the legendary R&B group Xscape just showed what real class looks like. The singer revealed that while dining out with her daughter, she was completely ignored by restaurant staff—except for one waitress who decided to treat her with kindness.

Instead of being bitter about the experience, Tamika decided to pay it forward. She tipped the young woman a whopping $700 to show her appreciation.

Tamika took to Instagram with a video and picture alongside the waitress, writing a heartfelt caption:

“Don’t judge a book by its cover, don’t look for special privileges. I believe EVERYONE should be treated fairly, no matter their color, sex, or financial status!! Thank you to the young lady that helped me and my daughter! You never know what a person is going through. Be kind and never turn your back on anyone!”

She closed with a powerful scripture from Hebrews 13:2:

“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unaware.”
