While most celebrities are told to ignore online hate, Kevin Durant continues to defy that rule—especially when it comes to longtime internet rival Lil B. The NBA superstar’s latest exchange with the rapper-turned-meme legend has gone viral, reigniting a feud that dates back more than a decade.
On Monday (June 23), Lil B took to X (formerly Twitter) with a fiery challenge, writing:
“Kevin Durant really ain’t bout no basketball sh*t yo ain’t got no real paper you really just a ho pull up whenever u ready any basketball court on earth I mean that im waiting for you – Lil B.”
KD didn’t waste time. Just two hours later, the Houston Rockets’ newest star fired back:
“Broke boy asking for a feature in my DM… u wouldn’t be able to get a shot off on me lil one, you was once a thing, I’m still that.”

The jab about a feature request stunned fans, especially given the beef’s long-running history. The drama traces back to when Durant once called Lil B “wack” on social media, prompting the rapper to place his infamous “Based God curse” on the NBA player. Lil B later released a diss track titled “F*ck KD,” and the two have exchanged occasional shots ever since.
Ironically, despite the so-called curse, Durant went on to win two NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors—Lil B’s hometown team.
This latest dust-up may have been sparked by the recent bombshell news of Durant’s trade to the Rockets, but it’s clear there’s still plenty of old tension simmering between the two.
Fans online are loving the drama, debating whether Lil B is trolling or serious—and whether KD should even bother responding. But one thing’s for sure: Durant isn’t ducking anything, online or on the court.
